River Valley Credit Union of Ada, Michigan was one of the first to migrate. Janelle Higgison, CEO of the Credit Union reported that she is pleased with the simplicity of the settlement process, and the transition went very well.

eDOC Innovations, a provider of imaging solutions and e-document management technology to credit unions, recently announced it assisted Best Advantage Credit Union of Brillion, WI, with streamlining its paperless strategy.

Tammy Williams, CEO of Best Advantage Credit Union believes in being innovative at the credit union. “Being aggressive with our e-document strategy will enable the staff to be more efficient and bring more value to our membership,” Williams states. “eDOC Innovations is allowing us to do just that by simplifying our technology efforts and consolidating them into one process flow,” she continued.

Initially Best Advantage utilized three different systems to manage and automate ID capture, document scanning, report and statement COLD systems along with eStatement processes. According to Dominic Sloma, Operations Leader for the credit union, the different systems were not leveraging resources, but were counterproductive. “eDOC provided Best Advantage with a solution that puts all the pieces of our strategy together into one technology,” says Sloma. “eDOC’s solutions complement each other and our core processing platform to build a complete e-document solution, such as going green and the expansion of our member services activities.”

eDOC Innovations, an e-document management and strategic partner CUSO, announced that Superior Federal Credit Union of Lima, OH has selected eDOC Innovations’ CheckLogic Lite remote deposit capture solution. Superior Federal Credit Union currently serves over 43,000 members.

eDOC’s RDC solution, CheckLogic Lite, is a part of its overall Check21 suite, and enables credit union members to securely submit deposits to the credit union without having to visit a branch. “CheckLogic Lite is a strategic aspect of our credit union’s overall direction to provide a key service to our members,” comments Phil Buell, President/CEO of Superior Federal Credit Union. “Remote deposit is key to servicing the new age of virtual members whose demographic requires virtual access to our account services 24x7x365. The collaboration with eDOC and Corporate One Federal Credit Union was attractive to us, as this is part of a larger eDocument strategy picture,” continues Buell.

“We are delighted to welcome Superior to our CUSO services. Their vision of reaching out to the virtual member and driving the value of the credit union is exciting and we support that collaborative spirit,” comments Bret Weekes, eDOC President/CEO. Looking to business development is a key initiative for credit unions to grow and increased sustainability,” continues Weekes.

eDOC Innovations has released an expanded LISTSERV for their users. Propelled by a request presented by eDOC users during their User Group Meeting on May 5th, 2010, this list enables eDOC users to have instant contact with their peers. Email permits users to pose questions, offer suggestions and feedback and give valuable insight to their peers efficiently and rapidly- even from
smart phones.

Among eDOC’s active users is Cutter Phillips, VP of Marketing/IT at River Valley Credit Union in Ada, Michigan. “Collaboration equals value and growth. The more we share with our peers, the more value we create for vendors and our own business. It also creates professional growth as individuals and provides a wealth of information for future users to grow their businesses. The cuasterisk.com network and eDOC use collaboration to improve processes, create improvements based on efficiency, and to present a single CU with the resources of over 100 credit unions,” commented Phillips.

eDOC expressed its vision of providing innovative and collaborative opportunities to credit union peers. According to the CUSO, creating a LISTSERV is one of many ways they have integrated requests from peers into their solutions and services. “eDOC is about credit unions – credit unions are our owners, peers and innovative participants in the development of our e-Document solutions. The more our peers collaborate with eDOC and each other the more value we can, as a network, present to the financial industry as a whole,” commented Bret Weekes, President and CEO of eDOC
Innovations.

eDOC Innovations recently announced that Glacier Hills Credit Union of West Bend, WI has upgraded its e-Document strategy to eDOC Innovations’ DocLogic in-house system.

Dennis Degenhardt, President/CEO of Glacier Hills noted, “After using the SaaS eReceipts processes for a number of years it was time to expand our strategy to the in-house system.” Degenhardt continued, “It was time to take the next step from being paperless with receipts to being paperless throughout the credit union. The DocLogic platform allowed us to do it, demonstrating that loan form processes and other business processes can be automated to the point where we will have very little need to scan documents.”

According to the eDOC CUSO, Glacier Hills started with the SaaS platform as a step to implementing an initial strategy, and then expanded that strategy into an in-house solution, which was their desired path to complete their vision of their e-Document strategy. Degenhardt stated, “You have to start somewhere and once you have adjusted to a paperless environment then you can take the next step and that’s what we did…we’re excited to see what’s next and what we can do with eDOC and our collaboration together. As we look down the road we see delivering more information to our members and developing additional revenue opportunities, which we feel are key to our eDocument strategy, and eDOC’s solutions allow us that leverage point and will make us effective and efficient in our innovation.”

eDOC Innovations, a leader in providing e-document solutions to credit unions, has recently partnered with DocuSign, a provider of electronic signatures and paperless contract execution services to release an enhanced version of ProDOC™. Idaho Central Credit Union, serving 85,000 members, has recently implemented this new solution.

The new enhancement streamlines the loan closing process by allowing it to be performed electronically through eDOC’s Member Document Portal and DocuSign’s online digital signature solution. This solution eliminates any paper documentation that historically has been a part of loan processing. According to eDOC, this partnership has provided a complete “Go Green” solution from loan application to closing. Idaho Central Credit Union has been a long term proponent of “Go Green” solutions and has embraced the opportunity to be a key part in this release.

“eDOC is very pleased to collaborate with DocuSign and Idaho Central in this critical stage of the enhancement process,” stated Bret Weekes, President/CEO of eDOC Innovations. “What a proactive way to address the needs of credit unions in general, and Idaho Central in particular, by engaging them in the ways that enhance the value of their member relationship through easier and more convenient ways of doing routine methods and processes. We have always been able to count on Idaho Central for their input and participation. ProDOC™ is used by hundreds of credit unions across the country today and will now benefit from this enhanced capability,” continued Weekes.
